In January of 2009 I was able to make a trip to Poland and visit the Ceramika Artystyczna factory. 

I was given a personal guided tour through all phases of production of this fabulous pottery.  Every step is done by hand.  I was especially facinated watching the meticulous process of hand decorating each piece.  The care that is spent on every item from this factory is utterly amazing.  I am more convinced than ever about the high quality of this stoneware.  No wonder it wins awards around the world for beauty and excellence.  Absolutely astonishing to see.
